· Organisation: Agreed systematic structures. Easy access. Continuity. Value adding, Quality control.
· Collaborative groups and sharing of planning documents.
· Professional Efficiency: Simplify planning. Systematic flow of documents. Coherence – jigsaw.
· Effective Teaching: ICT for teaching and learning. Access to on-line resources/lessons/records.
Review the Roles of Curriculum Leaders and areas of responsibility
· System: ensuring policy is adopted and requirements are met
· School: leadership and coordination of the school’s learning program.
· Teachers: to support teachers in the teaching / learning process.
· Students: to provide stage appropriate, developmental, engaging learning experiences
Teacher Planning Processes
· Teaching Practice – Pedagogy: Assist teachers to link ‘Curriculum’ and ‘Pedagogy’
· Supervision of the learning program: track outcomes and support learning programs
· Monitoring student progress: data gathering / analysis to monitor student progress. NAPLAN
· Professional Development: link growth to personal needs and school priorities. ICT use.
· Cooperation and collaboration: promote and coordinate sharing of curriculum planning
Leading Assessment Evaluation and Reporting
Processes enable teachers to assess student progress and to evaluate learning programs.
Assessment tasks: valid, appropriate criteria.
