Structure of the Curriculum Organiser

The Curriculum Organiser comprises learning programs for all learning areas, across all year levels. The documents are organised into colour coded layers to answer key teacher planning questions:

The System Folder contains information on outcomes, indicators, content, syllabus requirements.

School

The School Folder contains information on the Scope and Sequence for each learning area.

Answers planning questions:

· What we teach. The content within a learning area.

Integrated Units that provide the context for the content.

· When we teach. The sequence of the learning program over the years of schooling


Teacher

The Teacher Folder contains planning documents required for classroom planning, teaching, learning, assessing, recording.

Answers planning questions:

· What we teach Content and context for learning. Topics, investigations, themes.

· How we teach Integrated or Learning Area. Teaching strategies, Student learning

· With what Resources, websites, web lessons.

· So What: Assessment tasks

· How well Assessment criteria, standards. Rubrics

Student

All of the above documents can be adapted to suit the students.

These folders are empty to allow you to include the negotiated materials.
